I have been involved, in various capacities, with K9s For Warriors since their inception. I have seen how they pinched pennies and used their financial donations to their best ability. They research and decide. Allot more diligent than I am with my own money for sure.

I do hope me writing this note with help you choose them for your much appreciated assistance. Your help will make them even more effective in the fight to save individuals, families and communities. They really are amazing...........and not one bit wasteful.

I am the wife of a Navy, Vietnam War Veteran. I am also a fund raiser for K9s For Warriors as a private caring citizen. I started a grass roots effort about 5 years ago called Kans4K9s. We raise our money by just collecting and recycling aluminum beverage cans. My can donors are neighbors, friends, club affiliates, service organizations, youth groups from schools, including ROTC cadets and many others. I solicit help from people I think have similar values to mine & most people say yes or hell yes!!! Oct. 2016 for example...... we took 975 lbs. of cans to recycle and raised $489.00 in that trip......and will be going again next week. Needing about 35/16oz. cans to equal 1 pound, you see we are an active donor group.

Anyone "can" do this.......but please don't use our name. We have raised many many thousands of dollars thru recycling......but it's just a drop in the bucket toward what K9s needs to raise, train & provide, 90% from rescue, service dogs to worthy post 9-11 Veteran's from all over the U.S. I wish I was computer savvy, so I could attach a photo showing what we do....but I'm not.

I have been volunteering by raising awareness/donations for K9s For Warriors for over 2 years & will continue to do so with great pleasure. I so believe in what they do that I bring up the subject whenever I get the opportunity to tell their story.....no matter where I am. The Duval family, extended & original, is giving all they have to help returning veterans get their lives back. Each veteran has family, friends, comrades, etc. who also benefit by having their loved one back in their daily lives. This is a "love" driven program and I "love" the fact that people across the country will support this sincerely dedicated K9s For Warriors family. They spend their money wisely, and get thru their days with the help of over 200 unique volunteers. Kasseroles for K9s brings home cooked meals to visiting/in training warriors. Kans4K9s collects thousands of aluminum cans each month, recycles them for cash and donates that money back to the program. Companies like The Kong Company see the value in this program and I hope you will too. Sandi, Todd, Brett, Sheri & numerous other insiders are dedicating themselves to the success of K9s For Warriors..........won't you join them? Do what you can when you can.......you can make a difference.....and it's not always money.
