My Nonprofit Reviews

Review for Arizona Humane Society, Phoenix, AZ, USA
I will be returning to volunteering soon, having had hip replacement surgery very recently. I volunteer in the Admissions area, where people can surrender their pets for which they can no longer care, can receive humane euthanasia services, or can be escorted through the facility looking for their lost pets.
The public is always so appreciative of the compassion, professionalism, and sheer generosity of spirit demonstrated by employees and volunteers. Given that this is usually just one of the worst days imaginable, members of the public show their appreciation with tears and hugs. Their emotions are raw; their hearts are vulnerable. Yet they frequently take a moment to express their very deep gratitude. If this does not fulfill the mission of the AHS, I cannot imagine what would!
