Review for Friendly Water for the World, Olympia, WA, USA
When I first heard about biosand filters, I thought what a great and simple product and remedy for so many. Then I learned about Friendly Water for the World. How they go about spreading this technology is unique among nonprofits in that the beneficiaries learn to help themselves by building coops and micro-businesses in the the poorest of poor communities. I think it gives the people a sense that they are vested in there futures. The healing that takes place goes on on many levels. I have taken part in several trainings locally and look forward to working internationally with this wonderful organization.
