When our 13 year old Aussie passed away, we knew we wanted another one. We looked at other rescues, but they had maybe 6 dogs available, and they had been in their care for a year or so. Stumbled on to the Dog Liberator on the internet, and found lots of dogs. I first reached out to Gisselle about a blind Aussie, but then felt not a good fit for our household. Somehow I hooked up with a Cynthia who had Dory. After several exchanges of emails and phone calls hearing details of Dory and her owner surrender, we scheduled a meet and greet. We drove down to meet Dory and passed the interview process and DORY picked me!
Hard to believe ANYONE would have surrendered this beautiful, loving, loyal and well-behaved dog. But their loss is our gain. Have referred anyone we meet, and will definitely return when and if we ever get another dog. The Dog LIberator is an outstanding and caring rescue group who treat their rescues like family.
