Review for Border Collies In Need Inc, San Pedro, CA, USA
I adopted my second dog from this rescue. My current border collie was adopted approximately 5 years ago from this wonderful organization. He is getting up there in years and recently just lost his gal pal who was a female BC due to advanced age. Cody was grieving and was lost without his Sadie, as we all were. We adopted a young adult female who is the apple of Cody's eye. BCIN did a wonderful job of helping us find our new canine companion. I can't say enough good things about the dedication of their volunteers. I would not adopt a BC from anyone else but these folks. The best referral is a second time adopter, and for their professionalism, compassion, and dedication, they deserve this 5 star rating.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Nothing. This rescue organization is very well run and has a very good reputation in the rescue community. I checked them thoroughly the first time I adopted and this group knows their dogs. More importantly, they stand behind their dogs. I have stayed in touch with BCIN and will continue to support their worthy cause.

This is one hardworking rescue organization. I had been warned that most rescue people do not interact well with the public and they take forever to answer your e mail inquiries. BCIN responded to all of my e mails or phone messages within 24 hours. What a pleasure to work with their volunteers. They do a great job in streamlining the adoption process, yet they are very thorough in their interview and adoption processes. Very professionally run organization. At adoption time, I was given some printed material to help my new dog adjust to his new home--lots of resources on their website. Gosh, their website is beautifully done. Even after I adopted the BC of my dreams, this organization followed up with me for many weeks to see if there were any issues that I needed help with. They kept refering me back to their resource page on their website for reading and actually have a network of professionals that donate their time to help adopters. I can't say enough nice things about them--their dogs are in beautiful shape. I would highly recommend them, and I hope one day in the near future to adopt another BC from them.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
their honesty and support.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
very knowledgeable and professional. No pressure to adopt and they give an honest assessment (good & bad) about their dogs.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
they would be a world class rescue agency that could contribute on a larger scale to end dog homelessnes.
