Review for Jewish Mosaic: The National Center for Sexual and Gender Diversity, Denver, CO, USA
my experiences with jewish mosaic stem mostly from the research work they have done and published. I participated in their 2nd study here in denver, and encouraged other leadership members from our community to do so as well. Additionally, I am enriched every week with Torah Queeries and feel more connected to the Jewish happenings by receiving their weekly email. Additionally, as the president of the board at my synagogue, I often referred to their website for information. I have made a donation, but it was quite modest. Addtionally I was asked, but was unable, to help lead a shabbat service for one of their events. I have been so impressed with the overall vision of Jewish Mosaic, and their ability to forge connections and relationships in the Denver community and nationwide as well. Every interaction I have had with their staff has impressed me.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
being able to point out to the board and professional staff of our synagogue ways that we could be even more welcoming to the GLBT Jews in our community.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
I just don't know enough to even speculate on what changes are needed. What I have experienced and witnessed they seem to be working well.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
I have come away with the utmost respect and admiration for all the different kinds of work they are doing--from academic research to community building to social activism to torah study.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
smart, gracious, enthusiastic
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
change the world of GLBT Jews for the better-way better! I'm not aware of any other organization that has a better understanding of GLBT JEws and the issues they face. But there are so many more communities still left to get connected.
Ways to make it better...
Honestly, I wish I could say something helpful here, but I have had only good experiences.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
the continued discrimination against GLBT Jews.
One thing I'd also say is that...
Jewish Mosaic makes me feel like there is an organization on my side--that understands me and the needs of my family.
