Becky's Fund is a wonderful organization that focuses on assisting victims of domestic violence and helping them to transition from the abusive home environment into a safe lifestyle. My favorite part of the organization is the efficient work that its members do to make sure that the women being served receive the best possible help, not only by meeting their physical needs but also making sure that their emotional needs are met as well. In addition to the reactive work that Becky's Fund does, the organization also focuses on the preventive side of the domestic violence by teaching high school boys about healthy relationships, intimate partner violence, and what it means to be a leader in a relationship, in school, and also their community. Domestic violence is a complicated issue with many sides, and Becky's Fund tries to address every aspect of domestic violence in its community. The organization sponsors many fundraising events to unite the community against domestic violence and work towards a society that respects, honors, and protects women. Becky's Fund not only helps women, but it empowers them to take control of their lives and live as survivors instead of victims of domestic violence.
