I found Art4Healing on the web when I was searching for sabbatical opportunities after retirement. I was hoping to find an art therapy program but when I found out the requirements for that profession I was discouraged. I would need about 7 years of training. The more I read about Art4Healing the more I recognized that this was my answer. In this program the facilitator is well trained, guides the workshop participants through the process. encourages them to express their feelings and in the process they touch areas within themselves that need healing. A facilitator does not analyze but encourages. If a participant needs more help a councilor reference will be provided. I took one class and made arrangements to attend the intensive summer program. The process is friendly, the results astounding. I am now ready to bring their method and philosophy to the Midwest into areas where this healing process is badly needed.
