My Nonprofit Reviews

Oh Captain My Captain
Review for Ahava Ministries, Bayfield, CO, USA
Camp KIVU is one of those rare gems where teenagers and college students are able to search and discover their passions - what drives them each day - in a safe environment that encourages critical thinking and deep soul-searching. Having worked with teens and young adults for 11+ years, I fully endorse KIVU for their mission and the methods they use to fulfill it. Young people need a place where they can remove themselves from all of the "stuff" of life and discover what they love and feel they "were meant to do." From unique Colorado outdoor adventures to simply being unplugged and off the grid, to placing teenagers and young adults together so that they can experience the benefit of community and all that comes both now and later as professionals from teamwork, collaboration, trust, and hard work; KIVU has developed a rare experience where young people can find who they are, what drives them, and what they deeply value.
