When I started this letter I didn’t want it to be just a thank you note, you see the Safe House means much more to me. The many that come to this shelter including myself are broken and afraid. To all, there were open arms and heats. Some go back to the abuse but there's a few that stay. I myself wanted and needed the security they offer. It intrigued me that these strangers wanted to help me. Why? What’s the catch? How is it possible to go forward? With the tools and faith of the staff, I can go forward. I’m sure that I will feel fear, but I also know that with this feeling I also have is the faith and strength right around the corner. You see for me, they have taken this house into a home and the staff is my family. I do humbly thank you for repairing a broken and scared soul in going forth. Thank you with all my heart.
