I volunteer at the Aiken PetSmart adoptions Saturdays for the Humane Society of McCormick County and also a dog foster mom. I met this group in Aiken and started volunteering almost two (2) years ago. They are a very dedicated group of people that does everything possible to help find fur-ever homes for all the dogs and cats. They are a NO KILL shelter and made up of 100% volunteers so the funds raised goes to helping the animals. I enjoy going to the adoptions, spending time with the dogs, being there when one finds their new family and meeting people. You can't go wrong with the Humane Society of McCormick County.

HSMC is a wonderful organization and is made up of a great group of volunteers that have the interest of the animals at heart. I have been thinking about volunteering to help an animal shelter and wasn't able to decide on one. Two weeks ago I spoke to some of the HSMC volunteers at the Aiken PetSmart Adoption and decided I'd like to help out. If I lived closer I'd help out more than at the pet adoptions in Aiken. The next pet I adopt will be from them. You couldn't ask for a better group of people.
