Review for Jconnect Seattle, Seattle, WA, USA
When I first moved to Seattle 6 years ago, Jconnect immediately made me feel at home in my new adopted city and provided an instant community. From High Holiday services, to social events, to educational experiences like the "Lunch and Learns" on Microsoft campus and the "My Big Fat Jewish Wedding" course, all of the programming at Jconnect has always been of exceptional quality and fun! Over the past few years, Jconnect has done more and more to make a difference in the local and global community. Rabbi Will and others at Jconnect have fostered an amazing social justice program, and there is now also a great emphasis on promoting sustainable agriculture -- Jconnect even has its own CSA. Rabbi Will in particular has been a great mentor to my husband and myself as we have planned a sabbatical year in which we want to give something back to our community. He helped us get in touch with organizations we could partner with, ultimately culminating in a volunteer assignment with AJWS. I would certainly recommend Jconnect as a great place for any young Jew looking for community in Seattle; the organization offers programs for all types of people and interests.
