Review for Jconnect Seattle, Seattle, WA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Jconnect is a wonderful program. It is the only program in Seattle that focuses on the demographic of young people who are between college and married/family life. It does a great job of providing religious and social programming for those who aren't ready to join a synagogue but still wish to engage with the Jewish community.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

meeting my husband there, and having the rabbi marry us!

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

expand Shabbat activities.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

its amazing, dedicated staff and diversity of programs.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

the kind who go above and beyond to make its programs successful.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

engage even more Jewish young adults!

Ways to make it better...

more religious services (Orthodox, Conservative, and Reform on Shabbat; not just one Shabbat a month hosted at Hillel) were available.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

attracting young adults; many don't understand the value in engaging with the community.

One thing I'd also say is that...

my life would be completely different without the people I met through Jconnect.

Review for Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle, Seattle, WA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

The Jewish Federation is an amazing organization that provides so many resources for Jewish families in our region. I know many families who, without Federation's help, would not have been able to send their children to camp or to Israel. I myself received an Israel scholarship and am incredibly grateful for the Federation's generosity and amazing philanthropy.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

receiving money to go to Israel, and in watching children receive scholarships to go to camp.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

shorten the wait time before applicants find out whether they have received scholarship money, and how much.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the incredible staff!

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

enthusiastic and dedicated.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

help many more Jewish families in the area to engage in the Jewish community.

Ways to make it better...

more people knew about the awesome work of the Federation!

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

a lack of funds to meet the needs of the public.

One thing I'd also say is that...

more people should take advantage of the Federation's amazing programs-- or volunteer there!
