Review for Green Beret Foundation, Montgomery, TX, USA

Rating: 5 stars

My name is MSG Mike Clark. I've been w/ Group for my whole career. I started out as a Spt Guy at 3/10 in Devens, then off to 1/10 Bad Tolz, and Stuttgart. My daughter was born in Stuttgart in 92. I stepped my game up and went to the Q-Course in 93 and upon successful completion I went to 2/1 up at Lewis following that I was assigned to 1/1 in Oki. I was then assigned to SWC at the NCOA and finally my Wife got tired of us bouncing all over the Globe so we settled at Bragg and I went to 1/3. My time in 3rd Group culminated in being Team Sergeant for ODA 3116. My Team was running the Afghan Commandos during our rotation when I was wounded by an IED while conducting a dismounted patrol. I was medevaced out of country and was a patient at the TBI clinic at Womack. My Daughter helped me through my whole rehab process. This incident happened right before my Daughter's freshman year at East Carolina University. As a direct result of her helping me, she decided to become a Physical Therapist in order to help soldiers recover from wounds or any other injuries. For her first three years of college I was able to transfer my GI Bill to her but I ran out of my Benefits for her Senior Year. My Daughter has been on the honor roll every semester since attending that college. That's where the GBF was right on time for my situation. The GBF scholarships that were awarded to my Daughter will allow her to finish out her senior year of college and graduate on time next Spring! I can't thank the GBF enough for helping out in this instance. In the end this organization has been nothing but value added in helping our SF Brothers. SF Brothers have been in a constant state of deployment well before 9-11 and have been busy since that horrible day. It's good to see that the GBF is helping our fellow SF Brothers and their families. It is a comforting feeling that there is an Organization that is really putting boots to the ground for helping our fellow SF Brothers. Sorry for being long winded but this is my story and I'm sticking to it. Thanks again GBF!! DOL
