Review for One Heart Source, Los Angeles, CA, USA
One Heart Source is an incredible organization that allows volunteers to have authentic and meaningful experiences. I volunteered in Cape Town for a month and it was beyond inspirational. The leaders did their best to help us feel the passion and keep it burning throughout the month via various discussions and assignments. As an education major, I felt well-aware of the importance of education, but my time in South Africa showed me a completely new side of the spectrum. Even for non-education majors, volunteering with OHS opens your mind and perspective, which is such a valuable and humbling thing to experience. I felt so blessed to be able to meet and work with the students there. The impact they had on me has changed my life and I am so thankful that OHS could provide me with this opportunity.
