I simply love Kids In Need Foundation! They have helped to bring to life several projects for my classroom. Without their continuous support my students would not have exposure to several bright and engaging ideas. One in particular was Carnival Math. My 5th grade students enjoyed creating math problems using fractions and decimals to show how much each item cost. They were able to chaperone and explain it to the Pre-K students who attended our classroom carnival. It was enjoyable for all because learning was going on and treats and prizes were given out. This collaboration across the grade levels left a memorable experience to all of the student participant. Without the funding from KINF my students nor the Pre-K students would have had the exposure and the benefit of experiencing this project. Thank you so much!!!

I am elated to have received this grant in order to help my students engage in math. Because of this grant my students will participate in a classroom carnival filled with math activities, problems and prizes. This will make the learning fun for my students and they are more likely to retain the information that is being learned. On my own, I would not be able to fund this idea, but I am grateful for the Kids in Need Foundation for alloting money to incorporate exciting ideas into the classroom.
