Review for Heritage Square Foundation, Phoenix, AZ, USA
I first became acquainted with the Rosson House Museum when I worked as the Director of Education for the former Phoenix Museum of History. I was delighted to have collaborative activities. A little over four years ago, a friend asked if I would like to be on the board. Of course I said yes. One thing led to another and I subsequently became the interim Executive Director for seven months. During that time I gained a deeper appreciation for the facility and what it has to offer the community and state. Now in my second term as president of the board, the energy and excitement continues. The staff has expanded during my presidency, the educational offerings have increased, and the foundation is financially stable. It simply is a fun place to volunteer and visit.

Review for Musica Nova Inc, PHOENIX, AZ, USA
I learned of Musica Nova Orchestra from a friend who played with the group. I attended a concert and was very impressed. She thought that I might be of service due to my grant writing experience and introduced me to Warren Cohen, the music director. Since that time, some 5 or more years ago, I have continued to attend concerts, write grants for the organization, and tell others that they really must hear this group. As a person with two degrees in music, I appreciate the breath, depth, and variety of music I have heard over this time. I want something new, something that I can say that I heard live that is rarely or never recorded. The challenge for me is in explaining to others how much this organization deserves to be recognized as a leader in our community.
