Review for Center for Food Action in New Jersey, Englewood, NJ, USA
We are so lucky to have the Center for Food Action helping so many in our community. My organization, Companion Animal Advocates, provides monthly pet food deliveries to the CFA in Mahwah and Saddle Brook.
They are consistently a pleasure to work with - great partners. Their staff and volunteers are always happy to see us and know that by helping their client's pets, we are also helping their clients.
Keep up the good work CFA!

Review for Companion Animal Advocates, Glen Rock, NJ, USA
I am a founding member of Companion Animal Advocates. My friends and I started this organization in February 2008 in response to the financial downturn. We had all met while volunteering at a local animal shelter and saw people having to give up their pets for economic reasons and it was heartbreaking. We feared that more pets would be surrendered so we partnered with several local food pantries and started delivering pet food to them every month. This way, the entire family would be fed. We are currently feeding 350 pets each month.
In 2010, we decided to help these people and others get their pets spayed/neutered. We found that most people wanted to do this for their pets but couldn't afford it. We partner with our local spay/neuter clinic to get the job done. People are most grateful and we receive many "God Bless You's".
Finally, in 2011, we started a program to facilitate the donation of pet oxygen masks to all fire departments/first responders throughout Bergen County. We are well on our way to getting this accomplished.
