I had the opportunity to spend a week this summer at the first Safe House in Costa Rica. History was made during our mission, while me, two other moms and a team of high school and college women were working at the Safe House to build a chicken coop from scratch to add to the wonderful sustainable garden. This experience was truly an inspiration to see the efforts delivered by all. This organization and all of its volunteers, board members, partners and friends have truly done the impossible! The efforts to break through many obstacles to provide an enriching and restorative environment for these young girls to rebuild their lives by providing support, education and the opportunity to develop life and work skills donors is truly amazing. I am thrilled to continue my efforts through outreach. I look forward to returning to Costa Rica as the story continues to unfold and more girls are rescued and introduced to a new and wonderful way of life.
