My Nonprofit Reviews

Review for Progressive Jewish Alliance, Los Angeles, CA, USA
PJA introduced me to a world of Jewish Activism that I did not before know existed. I have been blessed to meet many friends and learn about many important social justice causes around the Los Angeles and beyond. As a Jeremiah Fellow I met other young jewish activists around Los Angeles and the Bay Area- and as this network has grown and spread I find myself supported by Jewish friends around the country! I have even met some fantastic Muslim activist friends!
More Feedback
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
the expansion of my network of friends and activists who I can call on for support and guidance in my work.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
make it more far-reaching- duplicate it in other places!
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
Learning about the connections between the Jewish tradition and service to one's community!
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
Inspired and inspiring. People with lots of energy and vision.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
generate 100 movements for justice throughout LA and other cities!
Ways to make it better...
There was a full time fellowship! Instead, we only met 2 times per month.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
in-fighting amongst jews- political divides on the Israel-Palestine issue, as well as religious divides.
One thing I'd also say is that...
PJA is flexible and open to change.
