Review for Mercer Island Eastside Orphans & Waifs (aka MEOW Cat Rescue), Kirkland, WA, USA
My first experience with MEOW was in the 1990s when I adopted two kittens from there. They were well-cared for and healthy and turned out to be wonderful friends. I am now a foster parent for MEOW and have consistently had the same positive experience with the caring staff and volunteers at the shelter. I am also a donor to MEOW as it is a very worthy cause.
Review for Mercer Island Eastside Orphans & Waifs (aka MEOW Cat Rescue), Kirkland, WA, USA
One of the best things about MEOW is that they take back the kitty you adopted if you can no longer keep it and cannot find it a loving home. They truly care and want only the best for the cats (and dogs) they help. I adopted the first of my cats from MEOW about 10 years ago. They were being fostered by one of the organization's founders and she was incredibly patient as I sat in her house for over an hour trying to decide which kittens to take. Then she agreed to keep them for another 2 weeks as I had an out of town trip planned.
I have been involved as a donor ever since. I visit the shelter when I can and it is always a happy place for the cats. The volunteers work incredibly hard to raise funds and take great care of the animals. I hope to join them once I am able to retire!
