My Nonprofit Reviews

Review for Ahpha Group, La Jolla, CA, USA
I fully respect the focus this organization is portraying, but the woman in charge is not serving these cats justice. She would rather not give these cats a home than give them to someone willing to adopt them if they are non-white, below high middle class standing, or are in way focused on a life outside of the new cats. I contacted her about adopting a cat and she had told me that I could adopt the kitten in a week if she was still available (because of her two cat policy) but when the time came, she decided I was not suitable for the cat, even though she was still available. I asked why she had changed her mind, and she never responded. I called and emailed several times, and I never got a response. This was last week, and that poor cat still has no home. I could have given her a loving home, but now she will be stuck in foster homes until someone comes that fits her unreasonably high expectation of a cat owner. I am currently working my way through another adoption and will be bringing my new kitten home soon. (From another organization). This woman is making a wonderful action a horrible experience for those that would like to expand their families with pets. I do not recommend anyone donating, volunteering, or wasting your time trying to adopt from her. I hope she stops with her ridiculous expectations and allows these cats to go to good homes without having to spend several months in foster homes.
