Review for J'Burgh, Pittsburgh, PA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

The J'Burgh model is so unique. It targets an audience between college and married w/ children that is often overlooked. It has also made a strong connection between grad students in Pittsburgh and other young otherwise unaffiliated Jews. Its success should be duplicated in other cities!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

seeing how young professionals have made new connections in Pittsburgh. I think this will have a long-term benefit to our region as more people may become interested in staying in Pittsburgh.

Review for The Hillel JUC of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, PA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

There is a saying that "If you build it, they will come." Well, this is not always true. But in the case of the Edward and Rose Berman JUC, the new facility, combined with an incredibly talented staff, is truly a wonderful destination and connection place for Jewish undergraduate and graduate students. The Hillel JUC of Pittsburgh is a dynamic organization that uniquely serves multiple universities in Pittsburgh. Quality programming and excellent staff (and student) leadership make Hillel JUC an important part of the univeristy experience in Pittsburgh.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

bringing college students together to experience Judaism in their own way.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

top notch. The staff has vision and passion for the work they do with students, parents, and faculty. Amazing!
