I first began volunteering with LCF in 1987 when they came to MN to do educational demonstrations. This became an annual occurrence for me. The rest of the year I volunteered in various capacities in various charities. I sat on the Board of Directors of a handful of organizations as well. In all that time, LCF stood out as having the highest integrity of its work and its fiscal managment.

In 2006, I moved to San Antonio and used the opportunity to become more active with LCF. I now give about 500 hours per year doing everything from cleaning bird chambers to assisting with physical therapy exercises, conducting educational demonstrations and creating and maintaining the internet presence.

Besides LCF's extraordinary ability to make the most out its available resources it has done well maintaining a message of environmental conservation which is multidimensional and based in biology instead of emotional manipulation.

I have seen hearts and minds opened by LCF's demonstrations and I have experienced the joy and wonder of an eagle's first true flight post-injury.
