I was terminated by my employer at my son's bedside as we awaited his diagnosis. We had just found a tumor on his brain a few days before. It was horrible. As a single mother, I had no additional help to try and save my son's life. SSI only paid the bare minimum which didn't cover hardly anything with all the travel we had to do each day; 126 miles-one way to the Children's Hospital.
When I found Mission4Maureen, the electric company was prepared to turn off our lights. The next time we had to reach out to M4M; I was on the verge of losing my apartment and my vehicle.
The kindness that M4M has shown me and my son can never be repaid. They are angels among me. My son has since passed away but they continue to reach out in support sometimes and I think that is amazing...the feeling of not being forgotten.

Rob and Monique are amazing! Ethan and I have struggled so much with his cancer. If it weren't for them, I would've had to take my focus off of the fight against cancer. I don't know where we would be if we hadn't have met them.e

Rosie and Mr. Walker are the most amazing people I've had the pleasure of meeting. They have helped me save my home and my car. My son, Ethan, was diagnosed with brain cancer in March of 2012. I was fired at bedside and without the help of Mission4Maureen, I'm sure I wouldn't have been able to leave my focus where it need to be..on my son.
