Review for Reading Tree, San Francisco, CA, USA
I first got to know The Reading Tree as a new parent who wanted to raise bilingual children. I then became a Reading Tree instructor and later a Board Member. As a former SF Mission District bilingual teacher, I am thrilled that The Reading Tree is developing literacy with families even before they get to preschool!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
my children, my development as a mom, and in the other families who get so excited about the activites and books
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
not know how to do it any better than Jude
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
How wonderful it is to know that such great Spanish literature is getting into the hands of Spanish speaking children at an early age - books that they get to keep!
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
amazing (well, many are friends of mine, but they are still amazing)
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
wow - get into all CDCs? train more teachers? Buy it's very own building and have it be a really cool community center of early literacy, parent workshops, preschool in Spanish
Ways to make it better...
I had more time - with my youngest schedule conflicts prevented us from attending
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
figuring out how to get more Spanish speaking families aware of the classes and trusting enough to come
One thing I'd also say is that...
amazing invaluable work
