Review for Northend Jewish School, Seattle, WA, USA
I have two children at the Seattle Jewish Community School. The school excels at many levels. The academics are strong * each child is challenged * the teachers cooperate and communicate, both within and across grade levels * there's an integrated curriculum -- reasoning, good communication skills, and imagination are not pigeonholed into arts versus science The social curriculum and community are strong * Moody pre-teen SJCS graduate boys will play sports with my second grader, with no insults or injuries -- how impressive is that? The Judaics curriculum is impressive * The kids have a strong Jewish identity, and aren't judgemental of others' religious practices The only area that is lacking is conversational Hebrew. I'm very happy with SJCS.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
My kids and friends' kids.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
dedicated.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
weather difficult financial times. I was recently in Cleveland and was overwhelmed by the large, established, endowed Jewish institutions. SJCS isn't like that. It's young, and not wealthy.
