Review for Cross in the City Inc, Pasadena, TX, USA
CITC has been a part of my life for several years. Helping with the school and "coaching" the students has been some of the most challenging and rewarding work I've ever done!
James loves these kids and gives them a safe place to rebuild their lives, get an education and begin to dream of a brighter future. We have seen several graduates do just that and its been worth every struggle to get them there.
We make do with a minimal amount of resources and yet what the kids need most is relationship.
A relationship (mentoring) with adults and also a positive one with their peers.
The building is old and needs lots of work- it's been interesting to see how the changes in the kids parallel the transformation that is taking place in the old building.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Finish all the renovations to the property and have the property belong solely to CITC. It would be great if James could actually be paid for the hours and hours of work he has put into CITC and the kids.
