I have always wanted to be a big sister to someone and I finally was able to join Big Brothers Big Sisters in 2011 where I met the most amazing 8 year old in the whole world! Giving a little time once a week truly makes a difference to this little girl. I can see a huge improvement in her confidence. She is able to have a trusting relationship with another adult in her life which is so important. I am there to guide and help her in any way I can, whether it is just washing her hands after using the bathroom or school work. This organization is truly a success and should continue to find ways to grow because only amazing success stories come out. Statistics prove that having a role model help these kids in their future! I learn from her as much as she learns from me because I get to see change every day for the better which shows me the importance of giving. She helps me be a better person to by letting me hold her hand when she needs it!
