Review for Binaytara Foundation (BTF), Clarkston, WA, USA
I came to know about binaytara foundation some 9 months ago and the first thing that crossed my mind was how could I have not known such an organisation earlier. The idea of promoting researches "properly" in a country like Nepal among young budding medical students is really admirable. Researches have always been considered extra-curricular in our parts and hence medical students are neither encouraged nor supported for researches even in the leading medical colleges here. My interaction with people who were helped by binaytara foundation made me realize how much that support meant to their projects in their own small ways. Other supports aside, just the selection itself really encourages people to carry on with their projects honestly. I hope I will have an opportunity to meet more and more such researchers in future as well as I hope we can all contribute in any way possible to such innovative ideas.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
appoint one of the grant recipient as a country representative every year who should volunteer to go to all the medical colleges in Nepal ( at least most of the major ones) at least once a year and let people know about the organisation, their activities and encourage medical students in research or if he/she can't go to in person, establish a contact in those colleges who volunteers to communicate with the students in his/her own college about the oraganisation and its activities.
