I am one of the board members of Binaytara Foundation. We started this organization six years ago with only one goal - to bring positive change in people's lives by promoting health and education in the underprivileged societies. We still have the same goal but with help of so many dedicated volunteers and supporters, we have been able to expand our programs and help more people in need.
In the last six years, our medical research grant program has helped several physicians and medical students get hands on experience in conducting scientific research and instill the concept of evidence based medicine. We are very pleased to announce that in the year 2012, we received more than 35 research grant applications from medical students and physicians located in four different countries including those in South Asia & Africa.
With help of programs like the physician training initiative, telemedicine, tele lectures, and medical conferences, we expect to make direct positive impact in how healthcare is delivered in developing countries with fewer resources.
I would like to thank all the great volunteers and donors for their support and hard work. Without your help, we would not have been able to accomplish any of this.
