My Nonprofit Reviews

Mrs. E
Review for Keren Simchas Chosson V'Kallah, Brooklyn, NY, USA
I got married a few years back. My parents were having a hard time financially, and had no clue how to make a wedding. my in laws were also in a difficult financial position. Devorah was there at every step of the way, giving us support and direction as well as somehow putting together a wedding for us at a very low cost. She knew what was vital what was superflous, and she was so incredibly supportive. I think that a very unique aspect of KSCVK is that devora is also a wedding planner and does the same service for families who pay her. so when you see devorah at a wedding you dont know if she is there because the family cant afford a wedding or if she is there because they hired her to direct the wedding. in addition to devorahs giving and sincerely caring demenour, it helps preserve the "customers" self esteem. I feel priveleged to know such a sincere human being. She has helped many family members and friends, and is really a blessing to those who she helps. (I was a client served, a volunteer, and I do like to give donations when I can)
More Feedback
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
my wedding, my sisters weddings, friends weddings, other relatives weddings...
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
make sure they had lots of money coming in.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
the happy friendly and sincere Devora Benjamen who really knows her stuff when it comes to weddings and simchas!
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
cheerful, helpful, friendly, upbeat, kind, truly caring, sincere, selfless
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
help so many people. The world needs more kind wholesome families. KSCVK helps a new couple start their married life with reduced stresses and on a positive note.
Ways to make it better...
I were a donor as opposed to a client served. (but then I would not have been able to experience the great kindness of KSCVK first hand, a blessing in disguise)
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
lack of funds
One thing I'd also say is that...
It is not an organization that promotes excess or opulance. It helps ensure that a Jewish couple starting off their life together have a happy wedding. Its hard to have a happy wedding when there is no food, no music...you get the pic.
How frequently have you been involved with the organization?
About every six months
When was your last experience with this nonprofit?
2009
