Review for Gentle World Inc, Kapaau, HI, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I came across an essay from The Gentle World through a friend. They are good reads and come in handy to share with friends that are newly vegan and are looking into going vegan.
Earlier this year I have learned about their cookbook "The Cookbook for People Who Love Animals" being sold for a deep discount to their supporters. I bought several copies and in this way I am able to give out a cookbook to people that I meet on different occasions.
Thank you for all your great work.

Review for Ohio Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Inc., Grove City, OH, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I have learned about this great organization when a FB group fighting Gas chambers in pounds showed the video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5fYQHNH-GJY) about a Fayette County Dog Pound homemade gas chamber being destroyed. I started researching and felt that what they were doing was very much worth supporting. My first donation was for their goat barn they were building and was made in memory of my 19 year old dog that just passed away.
As a half-country girl living in a city I was happy when I was able to go to the sanctuary to help out with the daily chores. Just entering the property and driving towards the main house makes my heart sing. The goats and horses are in green pastures. The ducks are quacking and spending their days in the pools.
Animals that were rescued by the Ohio SPCA are adopted out into good homes or are living great life on the farm and are well taken care of. Whenever due to old age an animal needs to be put to sleep they are with them and help them cross the Rainbow Bridge. I have been with them once helping Topper (an amazingly friendly goat) cross the bridge. It was heartbreaking but he knew we all loved him till his last breath.
I am also very proud to be part of the Ohio SPCA response team since they are always very professional even when dealing with difficult situations.
