Review for Metropolitan New York Coordinating Council on Jewish Poverty, New York, NY, USA
I was homless for 3 years. I was stuck in the ciyt systems which means the people who say they're working for you are ignorant, lazy and under-educated and care not for you but only their paycheck and pension. Every function in the city system take 12 to 18 month to accomplish because working takes time away from their coffee breaks. Then, purely by chance, I was introduced to the Met Council. The way thing are done at the Council is to do it. Then get the paper work done. The client comes way ahead of the beauracracy when dealing with the Council. And the best aspect of the Met Council is that helping one in need of help is just the starting point. They stay involved and continue the relationship. The Met Council should be the model for the city on how to get things done RIGHT. The first time.
