Review for Metropolitan New York Coordinating Council on Jewish Poverty, New York, NY, USA
I had the opportunity to visit the Council and tour the facility and listen to a traing session. I was warmly welcomed and graciously invited to volunteer. Since I was in town only for the day, I made some greeting cards for the eldeerly. When I returned to Washington DC, I told my Hebrew class of my experiece and suggested that they could do the same. The children became very excited about the project and created many cards. We sent all the cards to the Council to distribute to those in need.
