Review for Taiwanese American Citizens League, Rosemead, CA, USA
I first joined TACL as part of their TAP-NY program (Taiwanese American Professionals). After being so impressed by the TAP-NY team and even after moving to the San Francisco Bay Area, I decided to stay involved by joining the TACL National Board.
1) Purpose: Their purpose is nothing short of bringing the entire Taiwanese American community together by serving the unique cultural and professional needs of this community.
2) Professionalism: This is how a non-profit should be run. The over-arching goal is broken down into bite-size goals that we can track and move forward. From developing youth-oriented programs to young professional leadership conferences and groups.
3) Accountability: They are run in as transparent way as possible. Every donated dollar is accounted for, and administrative expense is virtually non-existent as it is 100% volunteer run and there are no paid positions.
If you've heard of TACL-LYF, LID, TAP (NY, SF, LA, DC, Seattle, Boston, Philly, SD), JTASA, or the TACL Political internship, then you're talking about TACL. Get involved, bring the energy, help strengthen our community!
