Review for Archway Adventures, Kersey, CO, USA
I love this ranch! They take in 2 wild Sandwash Basin foals/yr and commit to raising them for 2-3 yrs. to become an adoptable, rideable horses -- and then find them homes. I've personally met all of their wards, and they are sweet and friendly. They use natural horse training methods that are compassionate, and practice natural healing methods to treat whatever comes up. They open up the ranch on a regular basis to have people present training methods, healing modalities, etc. and just to see, and hang around with all the horses. They rely on volunteers to help them with their mission and are involved with a great community that supports them. A lot of the foals born out in the wild get their little ears frostbitten, and they have this one horse (Rugby) who I just love. He has this white face with blue eyes, and these stumpy little ears....he's a character! Bolted out of the trailer and practically bowled them all down -- hence his name! They have 2 miniature donkeys that help out around the place, too -- Guido & Paquito!
