My Nonprofit Reviews

Rabbi Jonathan Kligler
Review for Friends of the Arava Institute, Boston, MA, USA
The Arava Institute is building possibilities for coexistence centered around shared environmental challenges that Arabs and Jews in Israel, Jordan and the Palestinian Territories actually share. It is in all of the parties' interests to figure out how to share the same bioregion. The Arava Institute successfully trains environmental activists in the Middle East in an incredibly inhospitable political reality, and the participants get to know each other in the process across barriers of religion and war. It is an absolutely remarkable achievement.
