Review for Taiwanese American Citizens League, Rosemead, CA, USA
I was first involved with TAP-NY (a TACL program) in a very limited capacity attending a few events here and there. When I relocated to San Diego for work, the President of TAP-NY at that time knew I didn't know many people and introduced me to the TAP-SD President. After a few weeks of observing the Board, I decided to step on as their External VP to help build relationships with the community. It wasn't until I attended the National Midterm retreat that I really understand the mission of TACL. There is no other organization that is devoted to creating visible leaders in the Taiwanese American community so that the future generations of Taiwanese Americans can have role models to look up to and feel proud to be Taiwanese American. Soon after the retreat, I continued on the Board as President of TAP-SD for 2 years, and have greatly enjoyed the friendship and the community we've built here in San Diego.
