Review for Wardrobe for Opportunity, Oakland, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

WFO provides continuous support for individuals getting on their feet and settled in with a job and career. WFO stays with them and offers support and nurturing unlike any other employment-focused organization. We are program partners and together we are changing lives!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

The delivery of high quality mock interviews.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

We share values and bring a synergy to our program goals.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

The staff is dedicated and works very hard to bring the highest quality program to their participants.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Easily clothe and train people in transition to getting on their feet all around the state of CA

Ways to make it better...

We have worked out a mutually benefitial and smooth working relationship

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

Getting donated clothing especially for the larger sizes of women and men.

One thing I'd also say is that...

WFO provides a valuable service for individuals and families to get settled.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

About every month

Review for The Stride Center, Oakland, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I've been following the growth of The Stride Center since the beginning in 1999. The social value of this organization is extensive. Changing people's lives over and over. It's been an honor to now be working for the organization I admired from a far. The good work inspires us all to keep at it every day.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

The program really works! It changes peoples lives. It's growing and delivering in even more communities in most need for a pathway out of poverty.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Align with more corporations for jobs, computer donations for refurbishment and philanthropic support to expand and help even more communities.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

1. The results 2. The highly talented leadership 3. The dedicated instructors

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Amazing group of committed people

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Serve some of the most impoverished communities across the entire state of California. Create jobs! Connect thousands of people to broadband. Refurbish thousands and thousands of computers for the community.

Ways to make it better...

Supporters, there is such a needs and the message about this work needs to be known and supported.

One thing I'd also say is that...

Knowledge is power. Skills is confidence. Opportunity is life changing.
