Review for Sanlaap North America, New York, NY, USA
Sanlaap has a holistic approach to combat Indian sex-trafficking. Its mission spans providing health care, to changing social stigmas, to education, and empowerment. The organization focuses not only on rescue missions to save the women and girls from this dangerous, and unfortunate line of work, but it also has built a shelter in Kolkata that aims to teach 8-18 year old girls vocational skills in jewelry design and textiles. The leadership team of Sanlaap NA works tirelessly and frequents the shelters several times a year.
