Review for Beacon House Association of San Pedro, San Pedro, CA, USA
The Beacon House saved my life. I had sought professional help for my drug addiction for years and the results was always relapse. Since being a resident at the Beacon House, I have been sober for 3 years, reunited with my family, and interning as a drug & alcohol counselor while attending CSUDH. The Beacon House's multi-faceted approach of community service, counseling, peer support, and AA 12 step work creates prodigious results not common in this field. I have been afforded comprehensive reintegration support by allowing the time to attend college while focusing on my recovery so I can leave treatment as a functioning member of society. Beacon House truly is a model for effective, life stransforming treatment for alcoholics and addicts.
