I have served on the Board for over 10 years. As a retired Social Worker I am proud of my association with this amazing non-profit. The work that the staff has done over the years and particularly during the pandemic has been truly awe-inspiring to me. Now that the programs will be expanding and occupying the new space in Eggleston square this great work will have an opportunity to touch even more lives and become an even greater force for good in the community.

I have been a member of the Board of the Elizabeth Stone House for 10 years. The growth in program,facility,and impact on the community during this time has been nothing less than awesome! Now poised to complete and occupy a brand new facility in the heart of Egleston Square the Elizabeth Stone House will vault up to even greater importance as an asset to this distressed but phenomenally resilient community.
As a retired social worker my support and involvement with the Stone House continues to swell my heart with hope and optimism for the future. The work and effort that I see in the Stone House staff and clientele is a constant reminder of the shared and irrepressible goodness of humanity even in the face of unimaginable adversity in our daily struggles..

I've been on the Board of the Elizabeth Stone House for almost ten years and I find myself believing and supporting their mission more strongly with each year. As a retired child welfare social worker I know that the trauma of family violence is forever in the psyche of the person affected by it. I truly believe that the only effective antidote is the love and care that is received after the initial pain of the event. Trust can only be restored by learning to trust again and this requires caring people like those of the Stone House to help rebuild it day by day, hour by hour in small and large acts of kindness and support. This world would be a colder place without the Elizabeth Stone House and this is why I'm proud to write this review in support of these great folks.

I've been on the Board of the Elizabeth Stone House since I retired as a Child Welfare Administrator eight years ago. In my previous professional endeavor I visited , evaluated, and actually funded many very good programs that dealt with the services and support so necessary to put one's life together again after the trauma of violence and homelessness. The Elizabeth Stone House is unique among them in that it turns no one away and wraps their residents in a warm blanket of care and professional services that gets them and keeps them on their feet again. I love the Elizabeth Stone House for what they do and who they are.

As a retired Social Worker in the fields of child abuse and domestic violence I am honored to volunteer my time to the Elizabeth Stone House. I am constantly impressed by the dedication ,skill, and compassion that the staff bring to this very difficult and challenging work everyday.
This is more than a vocation for the people that work there. It is a calling and a ministry.

The Elizabeth Stone House is an enduring asset to the communities that it serves. Women in transition from the communities of Roxbury,Jamaica Plain, Dorchester,and other Boston neighborhoods will always find an open door and a helping hand at the Elizabeth Stone House.

Based on my 37 years as a professional Social Worker I can say without equivocation that the Elizabeth Stone House provides an outstanding level of quality of service to its residents and community clients.
The staff are among the most dedicated to the mission of the program that I have ever encountered. The Elizabeth Stone House Programs are carefully organized and delivered in a cost effective manner to a variety of clients in the community catchment area. The multitude of services that the Stone House is able to offer and the many lives that it's services impact in a positive and life-changing manner is trulyu impressive.
I am proud to be associated with the Elizabeth Stone House and look forward to being a part of its continued growth and impact as a community asset.

The Elizabeth Stone House is a unique community asset to the families it serves. As a retired social worker I am impressed by the service model that the ESH follows. Every action and interaction with the families is directed towards fostering self-responsibility ,autonomy, family integrity and independence.
