We drove 3 1/2 hours to visit the sanctuary as a birthday gift for our 8 year old daughter. We were a little nervous about coming this far for an animal sanctuary, not sure what exactly we'd find, but we were very happy we made the trip. The animals were clean and obviously well cared for, and the volunteers took the time to talk to the kids about what it is like to care for big cats. Sarah already had planned to be a wildlife biologist when she grows up. She's since amended her plans to include working for or running her own tiger sanctuary.
