I learned about the work of My Hero through a colleague about ten years ago. At that time I responsible for the development and management of a cultural exchange program. We worked with My Hero to send U.S. media makers and artists to the Balkans, West Africa and the Middle East. They conducted media workshops with young people, and taught them how to best tell their own stories of the people they admire using a variety of media.

The impact of that program has been long-lasting. Although the grant ended some time ago, the relationships established through it have endured and continue to thrive. I can't speak more highly of My Hero and the great work they do.
