Review for Early Settlers Association Of The Western Reserve Inc, Solon, OH, USA
The Early Settlers Association was founded in 1879 and has been a prestigious and respected organization of ove 300 members. The significance is found in our many accomplishments. Mounted on the wall of the rotunda of Cleveland City Hall of citizens who achieved national prominence, History Day is a nationwide contest for awards for entries pertaining to the Western Reserve. Boundary Markers erected and maintained by the Early Settlers association at the four corners of the Western Reserve. Monuments erected by and maintained by the association are the George Washington statue in front of the Federal Building on Lakeside Ave. and the Perry Monument in Fort Huntington Park and Erie Street Cemetery Cleveland oldest Cemetery. Work with other organizations to preserve historic sites. Conduct programs to remind people of there history such as Flag Day, Cleveland Birthday celebration, the Battle of Lake Erie and other programs to celebrate the rich history of the Western Reserve.
