Review for Military Warriors Support Foundation, San Antonio, TX, USA

Rating: 2 stars

So far my experience with this organization has been below my expectations. I have only been able to communicate via e-mail and have a feeling no one knows what they are talking about. It seems no one wants to help me with completing an application for assistance. My question is very specific, yet no one can give me a specific answer to help me out or has bothered to reach out to me. I have called and left messages, but my calls have not been returned.

I think the concept of the organization is great , but the way they communicate with vets and their family should improved.

I also want to add that, I feel the foundation is exploiting vets, it's like they are digging for the deepest, juiciest war stories and the expense of the vets. Haven't they already paid a high enough price, and for some one to dangle a mortgage free home in front of them, in exchange for war stories and sob stories to bring a good name for their organization. That is shameless. =(

Thank you for bringing your concern to us! We regret issues you may have had in the application process thus far, and I hope that we are somehow able to assess the situation at hand! We at Military Warriors Support Foundation perform a very thorough vetting process to all of our applicants, and since each individual property receives many applications, the application process is an extensive one. We should note that our team works very diligently to respond to calls and messages in a timely manner. We do receive a high volume of calls daily and can take several days for our Homes Coordinator to get back with each individual applicant’s inquiries. To touch on your final note in your comment though, we would never want anyone to have the impression that we are looking for war stories. Our Homes Program, Homes4WoundedHeroes, awards mortgage-free homes to those wounded in combat, or the spouse of one who has been killed in combat, in Operation Enduring Freedom and/or Operation Iraqi Freedom. Due to our specific eligibility requirements, we are required to vet each applicant thoroughly to ensure the continuity of the program and that each recipient that is awarded a home fits within the program parameters. We encourage you to contact us at our main office at (210) 615-8973 so that we may address any additional concerns. We are open from 7:30AM- 5:30PM CST Monday-Friday and would welcome an opportunity to address your concerns! Thank you again for your comment, we are always looking to improve and enhance the application process! We look forward to hearing from you!”
