Review for Mata Amritanandamayi Math, Kerala, , India
Volunteering at Amma's Mother's Kitchen in collaboration with our church for over 7 years has been a life changing experience. The homeless are no longer invisible - we see ourselves reflected in them - and we can be change we want to occur in the world in the world one meal at a time. Amma's message is to serve each meal with love. We are a kitchen, we are a community of diverse faiths spanning the generations all called to answer the voice of hunger.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
the sense of family and community that we invite into the kitchen when we come together each Friday to prepare and cook a meal. That family is then extended to the guests that we serve a meal.

Role: Volunteer & I coordinate a Friday vegeterian meal in which we food the homeless, the most vulnerable and those in need. Currently we feed between 90 and 130 guest each Friday.
