Can't overstate the importance of Higher Ed to Cook County. It is our answer to not having, or having any hope for, a community college. It connects folks in the community who need training and education with the opportunities that are available, many of them online. It responds quickly and comprehensively to requests by local employers for training programs. It provides a wide array of business training for owners, managers and employees of county businesses. It is a gathering spot for the community.

I should add that although it was not listed as a category, I work for Higher Ed, coordinating business training.
