Review for Jewish World Watch, Encino, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Although most of the events take place in the Los Angeles area, JWW has worked hard to involve Orange County Jews and non-Jews alike in the fight to both end the genocide in Darfur and support its victims. Their amazing projects (such as the solar stoves and backpacks) have been supported by people of all faiths. Last May we had our first OC March for Darfur, and we were thrilled to see 400 people, from 1 year old to 80 yrs., carrying signs and chanting. People care about the issue of genocide, and JWW gives them the chance to do something about it.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

We now have a coalition with JWW and other groups in OC working against the genocide in Darfur. We are starting to have more events (ie speakers and movies) through this coalition.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Having the opportunity to make a difference both through donations and being active in the process of educating the public and influencing public policy.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Extremely committed to this cause.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Help victims of genocide all over the world re-establish viable lives through the building of medical clinics, schools, water systems, and, eventually, new villages

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?
